I've seen this problem posted on several news groups, but couldn't find
any solution...
I've been running Fedora Core for the last 6 months and am having trouble
with printing, using CUPS. Basically, as a non-root user I cannot print
unless I specify the printer, e.g.: lpr -Pbubbjet output.ps
The printer was initially set up with redhat-config-printer and
subsequently I've used lpadmin and lpoptions to set "bubblejet" as the
default printer. As root I can print without specifying the
printer (e.g., lpr output.ps), but still not as a non-root user.
I've even used lpoptions as the non-root user to set "bubblejet" to be the
default, but to no avail. Has anyone found a solution to this?
Cheers,
Andrew
