Hi,
I have a HP Deskjet 722 printer connected to a windows machine which I have set
up as a samba printer from CUPS on my SuSE 9.0 machine. I could not find the
printer listed when I configured CUPS from KDE. I selected HP 695 from the list
(Thought that was the closest !!). So the printer setup looks as follows
Device: smb://KANNANHOME/GATEWAY2000/HP722
Model: HP Deskjet 695C Foomatic/hpijs
When I print in colors, the colors seem to be mixed up (RGB prints as
Magenta/Cyan/Yellowish green). Also, whenver I print, I get a first page with a
single line on to followed by the actual print out. Has anyone set this printer
with CUPS? Where can I find a driver that will work with this printer?
I also tried using the PPD files generated from ..
http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_driver.cgi?driver=pnm2ppa
to set up the printer through KDE printer manager. But now I am not even getting
any printout. The printer is just spewing sheets of paper and I had to shut it
off.
Thanks
