Yep, it's probably running from cron.daily, but then his box is
off during that time, thus anacron will run it on next reboot. So
he might like to try the man pages about cron/anacron.
BTW
Astonishing there's only a French man page for anacron on my RH
box:
/usr/share/man/fr/man8/anacron.8.gz
