I have a 600 user system running redhat 9.0 Everyday around
the same time the system locks - I think they are just
running out of threads or pids, or something like that. I
don't have time to figure this out. Can someone help me
out with the needed tuning entries? I have tried upping
threads-max and pid_max (haven't seen the result on the
latter yet but I doubt it will work). There is 2Gb of ram. I
think that when the processes entry in the /proc/stat file
hits 262144 that is when the system locks, but not 100%.
