Hi there,

I am using fedora core 1 with kernel 2.4.22-1.2115.nptl and I upated it
to 2.6.5. Everything works well except one thing.

Neither use grub or lilo£¬If I wirte "root=LABEL=/" in there config file
,the system can not boot up it says: VFS: Cannot open root device
"LABEL=/" or 00:00.As I use kernel 2.4.22-1.2115.nptl it works well.

But if I use "root=/dev/sda1" instead it works fine.

I thought there might be someting that I need to compile into the kernel
but not as a module, but I can't find such thing.

Is there anybody have idea about this?

ps:Sorry for my english. This is my first time writing an english
email.And thanks in advance.
