Reusing mozilla instance on Fedora

Not sure if it's a mozilla question or a red hat question or a kde
question...so it's a setyup question ;-)
For a little while (in Red Hat 8 times I believe) the KDE icon for
starting mozilla had an interesting behavior: it started mozilla if no
mozilla process was alreay running, otherwise it would simply tell the
existing mozilla to create a new browser window in teh current
workspace.
I had the impression that this was done by RH's htmlview script.
Since Red Hat 9 and Fedora, however, clicking on the icon several time
brings up the 'select profile' dialog.
How can I get the 'old' behavior back? TIA...
