Hello all,
under the Altix Linux (PP 2.4) a number of interactive limits can be set at
/etc/security/limits.conf (such as, core, data, rss, as, etc.)
We are wondering if ALL or SOME of these interactive limits are indeed
enforced by Linux.
Also, what is the meaning of the ``address space limit'' (as) in particular?
What does it include in this limit? Is, for instance, the address space of the
kernel included in this limit?
Any help, hint or pointers to existing documentation for ALTIX is going to be
greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Michael Thomadakis
