    Hi,

I am running Suse version 7.3 and apache 1.3.20 in a local network
    (192.168.0.xxx).
Accessing the webpages on this webserver from within the local network
from any other computer works fine. I just have to type in the IP of
the webserver above and -presto- I am on the server.

The local network is connected via a router and cable modem to the
    internet.
When I configure this router that 192.168.0.200 (webserver) is a
virtual server and can be accessed using port 80, I can't get on the
server from the internet. If I tell my router to use any other
computer (IP address) on my local network as the virtual webserver, It
    works fine.

Why can't I access the Suse Linux/apache webserver from the outside
world? It can't be the config of my router, it works fine for any
other Apache or IIS running computer. Can you block non-local
networktraffic on a Linux? And if yes, where can I find this and kill
    this setting.

    Any suggestions,
    Thanks,
    Jo
