Ram is so cheap that my 4 GBytes cost less than half the cost of my entire
first computer that had only 32 MBytes to begin with.
But I have a friend whose machine also started out with 32 MBytes RAM.
After some software upgrades (W95 to RH Linux 7.3) it ran too slowly
because of excessive paging. We increased it to 64 MBytes and that helped
a little. IIRC, Red Hat recommended 128 MBytes minimum, but the
motherboard will not take more than 64 MBytes, so that is that. Probably
not worth putting a new motherboard in.
