Hi,

I'm just trying to configure my ADSL connection in my recent installed
Debian
GNU/Linux 3.0 (kernel 2.4.18) with pppoe. As I'm not an experienced user
(read it "newbie") I started with the pppoeconf tool and some
modification on the configuration files, to replace some minimal stuff
(like domain and ip).

Everything passed fine; but the performance of the connection seems to
be worse, like some kind heavy, or late. I don't know what could be
causing this. As I tried to look at the man pages for some extra
configuration and I found nothing, I asked myself if the problem is
hardware configuration (my nVidia ethernet card), or maybe there is
something to clean up under the hood.

Does someone know where should I go to improve it?
