Here are some things that were inadvertently left out of your message:

1. Where you got the ISO files.
2. Whether you know how to burn CDs or DVDs.
3. What method you used to burn the CDs or DVDs.
4. Whether you checked the original ISO files against their
   published md5sums.
5. Whether you checked the burned CDs and DVDs against their
   published md5sums.
6. How you went about performing your installation.
7. What kind of computer you have.
8. How much RAM you have.
9. How much HDD free space you have.
10. Whether you have ever successfully installed Linux before.

Apart from these minor omissions, a very informative post.
