Good afternoon,
We have a Novell Netware 5.1 server running Backup Exec 9.1. I've
installed/configured the agent and started the service with no
problem, but can still not see the Linux box in the BE Administration
console (Jobs > Backup > Make Selections). I can ping netware from
linux and vice versa by ip address and name. The proper entries have
been made in HOSTS files on both servers. I've stopped/restarted
Backup Exec and the linux server, double-checked spelling (linux is
case sensitive...). Also, there are a couple of areas in BE to set
TCP/IP communication: Options > Network > Enable Remote Agent TCP
dynamic port range & Agents > Enable Workstation agent support >
Support agents running TCP/IP. I've also configured NIS, which I
believe is necessary, though, I'm not to sure if it's correct.
If anyone has run into this or has any insight, I'd appreciate the
suggestions.
