I have logrotate-3.7-31 on my Suse 9.1 system. It wasn't rotating
logs so I turned on its debug and found that logrotate is issuing
messages like...
renaming /var/log/setiathome.log to /var/log/setiathome.log.1
creating new log mode = 0644 uid = 0 gid = 0
running postrotate script
error: unable to open /var/log/setiathome.log.1 for compression
for each file (even when compression is not turned on). Any clues
will be appreciated.
