I have two 250 GB SATA drives that I configured for a hardware RAID 0
stripe. The MOBO is a GA-K8NS Ultra-939. Athlon64 +3000 w/ 4 GB RAM.
 I intalled Fedora Core 3 - 64 bit without a hitch, but the first
reboot left me at:

Verifying DMI Pool Data ............
Boot from CD :
GRUB

I can perform a linux rescue with the cd and it will successfully
mount all the partitions.

/boot/grub/grub.conf:

default=0
timeout=5
slashimage=(hd0,0)/grub/splash.xpm.gz
hiddenmenu
title Fedora Core (2.6.9-1.667)
     root (hd0,0)
     kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.9-1.667 ro root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 rh
     initrd /initrd-2.6.9-1.667.img

/etc/fstab:

/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 / ext3 defaults
LABEL=/boot /boot ext3 defaults
/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01 swap swap defaults
...
