Hi all
The hard disk on my SuSE 8.2 Linux box has been spinning noisily all
the time when there shouldn't be heavy disk access. I suspect a disk
failure may be afoot.
Is it possible I stick a new disk in and somehow copy all data onto
the new disk and throw the old disk out before it dies? Will Linux
automatically detect the new disk at the next bootup? How do I make
the new disk bootable?
Any pointer will be very much appreciated.
Thanks
Kevin
