setting up INN

hi there,
can someone tell me how to set-up INN (innd)? i tried some tutorials like:
http://gigaschatten.de/html/inn/innstart.html bet never got results.
when i try to start inn ("service innd start"), i got told that i have to
run "hakehistory" or "makedbz".

can sonmeone help me, or show me a better tutorial that works?
