can't quite get the command :(

this is from the knoppix live cd, with wind2(ntfs) on hda1, hda2 and
hda3 have fedora core. hda2 is the swap.

[shell] whoami
root
[shell] pwd
/root
[shell] grub-install /mnt/hda
[shell] grub-install /mnt/hda3
[shell] grub-install /mnt/hda1

mnt: cannot create directory "/boot/grub/" read-only-filesystem
