Most kernels don't include this by default, since NTFS is a moving target
and Microsoft changes it without warning, and the kernel authors don't want
to be liable for people mucking up their Windows disks with the NTFS write
module in particular.
But I've had good luck with the NTFS read module, and in fact it thoroughly
ignores the NTFS weird flipping ACL security and allows Linux users direct
access to r{ÆÆÿevery non-encrypted file on the disk, even "protected" ones.
