    Hello,

It is quite interesting that the Mono project is porting the entire
.NET framework to Linux (thanks to an effort sponsored by Novell),
as can be seen at http://www.go-mono.org/

The following article proves quite interesting:
    http://www.linux.org/news/2005/01/29/0001.html
It seems that MS wants to stop open source developers from browsing
its software documentation and cloning the software based on such
    documentation.

I also notice that the MSDN library sidebar found at:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/
does not work with any other web browser other than
Internet Explorer (IE). This once again seems like
nothing more than a plot by MS to keep open source
away from cloning its libraries or using them from
other platforms such as open source platforms.
After all no version of IE runs under Linux,
and the sidebar will not work correctly with
Mozilla and Firefox (despite the w3c effort
to have everyone use its interoperable web
standards to do away with browser incompatibilities).

So now, I would like to ask, is there another site somewhere
on the NET where I may browse the MSDN libraries in a more
efficient manner and with any browser. Basically, I am just
looking for exactly the same stuff, just such that I can also
view it from my Linux platform.

    Thanks,

    Neil
