i intend to install linux on my PC, but windows is allready there, in the
first 10GB. i remember having troubles install linux with boot partition
above 1024 cylinders, but recently i've leraned it is no longer problem with
new bioses and new version of lilo. i have assus K8NE motherboard which is
very recent with latest AMI bios on it. i would not want to shrink my ntfs
partition.

i might install debian or gentoo, what can i expect? am i going to have
problems with this? may i put my linux boot partiton just after ntfs
partition?

thank you!
