I have Debian Sarge installed on this machine and dhclient keeps
overwriting resolv.conf with the wrong nameserver quad.dot addresses. I
think it's an issue with the built in server on my DSL modem, but not a
problem if I could keep resolv.conf from being re-written.
I have the same problem with FreeBSD but by using chflags tool the file
can not be overwritten and so no more problem, is there some way of doing
this with Debian? I have tried to remove all write permissions on the
file, and a couple things in the dhclient.conf file but nothing has worked
so far.
