On my new installation of Madrake 10.1 in KDE, when I double click on
"home" I get a "button" on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen
that indicates "home" is starting, but this goes away in several
seconds with no apparent effect. No window opens. If I start a
terminal window and ls I see that a have a few files in "home". If I
end the session and restart in GNOME, then click on "home" I see the
files in a new window.
I am as green as they come on Linux, and it is possible that I am
doing something wrong in KDE, or have incorrect expectations as to
what I should be seeing. On the other hand, it also seems likely that
I screwed up the installation or configuration somehow. Suggestions
would be appreciated.
