Stats:
Mandrake 10.1
2 CDs (DVD-ROM & DVD RW)
Multi-Card reader...
Up until now everything was OK, the system statred fine and the CDROM &
CDROM2 icons popped up when I started KDE. Plugging in my Camera's
Memory Card (and restarting) makes Linux add the apptopriate mnt
directory ("hd" in this case) and add this line to fstab:
/dev/sdc1 /mnt/hd auto
umask=0,user,iocharset=iso8859-1,sync,kudzu,codepage=850,
noauto,exec,users 0 0
Once that happens KDE (or is it something else) refuses to open the
file system browser, the desktop CD icons are not there (and it seems
to keep korganizer from running also =-o) The card IS mounted and
accessible though, I can get into /mnt/hd and find the files and such
but until I delete out that fstab entry I am dead on the desktop. What
gives? Any ideas what is wrong with the line (noticing the kdzu entry,
I recall there was something about not wanting having that in fstab...)
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Larry
