I would like to install Fedora (FC3) on my laptop. This is an old
machine for which I have no CD-ROM drive available.
I currently have Red Hat 7.3 installed on it, which I installed using
the FTP install method. Apart from some issues with getting the
Ethernet card recognized, the install was easy and it went smoothly.
Enter Fedora: I'm totally lost! From what I can see on the ISOs, which
is very little, it seems there aren't even any install floppy images
any more, and the READMEs make no mention of FTP (or HTTP) installs. It
seems like your only options are CD-ROM and USB installs, neither of
which I can use.
Is it even possible to install Fedora over FTP -- and if so, where can
I find the floppy disk images needed to bootstrap such an install?
Thanks,
- Thomas
