Nope, just a customised beatnik quote header. Any decent news client
allows you to customise the quote header.

I notice you said you've got the line
alias /dev/video* mxb
in /etc/modprobe.conf. Try this instead (It may not work, but it's
worth a try.):
alias char-major-81-0 mxb
That's what you'd do for the bttv module, so it might work for mxb
too. If not, then try to find out what char-major number it should be,
and use that.
