Hello all,
I'm trying to install SLES 9.1 on a fairly old box (a server with a
L440GX+
server board) and things seem to go ok until it hangs after detecting
hardware...
I get that it installs the usb devices then goes on to
looking for info file...
When I CTL+ALT+F3 I get insmod modules/aic7xxx.ko
and it just hangs...
When I try the manual install option... it tells me that the x server
can't
be started for some reason so I get yast in text mode.
When detecting hardware it prompts me to install the aic7xxx module and
I
hit OK and it installs it fine and gets to the point where I need to
confirm that yast has the right setup and commit the install, and the
keyboard locks up... It prompts me to say yes to install or no to go
back
to yast, and the only selection it lets me make is No
Any Suggestions?
(by the way... this is my first experience with suse... not linux in
general just suse... so I'm not that familiar with yast, or the ins and
outs of installing suse.)
Thx
Andy
