I'm running SUSE 9.2 and am trying to send files back and forth to my
PDA, which is a Palm Tungsten E2. I finally figured out the
PIN/passkey mystery. So now I'm trying to get it to establish a
connection. However the PDA fails to connect because it says that
"PPP has timed out". The configuration for the connection on the PDA
shows PPP/SLIP/CSLIP as the available options. Ok, so now back to SUSE.
I haven't had a PPP connection since I went to broadband almost 6 yrs
ago. I checked the process list and the PPP daemon is not running.
So...I went into Yast (the SUSE configuration GUI) and tried to turn
this service on...but couldn't find anything that mentions PPP. The
software installation section shows that the ppp software is
installed...I just can't figure out how to activate the daemon.
Any help is appreciated!
