Sorry to bother again, but I am having difficultu continuing. It would
be of a great help if you can enlighten me further. Please.....this is
my first installation and I am totally lost after fiddling with it for
over 14 days.

I've downloaded Yukon the drivers (install-8.18_tar.bz2)from
manufacturer and also the kernel sources from RedHat. I've installed
both packages into the system and created a symbolic link for kernel
sources to /usr/src/linux.

I've tried the installation script that comes with the driver and the
system hangs(even the num-lock key is not working) at the 'make
dependencies'. I waited for more than 2hrs so see what happens. But
nothing comes up and I have to power-off.

I do not quite understand the compilation process. So I searched in
google and followed the instructions on 'Compiling a New Kernel' from
www.linuxheadquarters.com'. The process fails with error at 'make
xconfig'.

I am very very lost here. Please help me if you can.
