Hi, I decided to try to discover Linux World installing it with my old
Toshiba Tecra 8000
My problems began (I think) because I don't have A: unit, only CD
I wanted to install Linex (a popular spanish version of Linux and
aparently very good for non experts).
First of all, trying to make a partition of the HD, I erased the old
Windows Me.
Now I can't access to the bios, can't install Windows and can't install
LinEx.
When I insert the CD where I did put the Linux file, it runs
CALDERA-DOS, but doesn't start Linex any installation as expected.
Neither it did when I inserted it with Windows.
How can I open the file gnu.linex2004r1.iso? do I need to put it in a
Bootable CD? or the problem is that the CD is bootable and I need to do
something else?
Anyone can help me?
Looking I found at Toshiba website that there is an update to the BIOS,
but it is supossed to be done on a floppy disk, and I haven't, what can
I do?
Thanks
Bye
