Hello all,
I have downloaded 3 different ISO from 3 different mirrors and I
encounter the same error on all 3 occasions. I download the following 2
iso's
debian-31r0a-i386-binary-1.iso
debian-31r0a-i386-binary-2.iso
I run md5 sum check and they match on all occasions. I boot from DVD,
pick English and then Canada for location, it detect my hardware and
then it scans the CDROM. Thereafter I get the same error on all 3
occasions, [!!] Load installer components from CD.
"There was a problem reading data from the CDROM. Please make sure it
is in the drive. If retrying does not work, you should check the
integrity of your CDROM. Failed to copy file from CDROM. Retry?"
I don't believe it is my media, I am using a DVD-RW burned the ISO at
2.4 and have used the same media before for installing Suse 9.3 and
Ubuntu 5.3.x no problem but I will try a different DVD now. I am
missing a step here ladies and gentlemen? Show I verify the MD5sum in
another fashion or what? I would appreciate any feedback here, I have
been a fan of Debain for sometime and would like to get my box up and
running. However if I can get it going off regular bootable CD and do
software update over the net I am open to that and may look into that
this afternoon, time permitting.
TIA,
Greg
