(I originally posted this on Google Groups but it got lost after 8
hours, so I'm posting it again. Sorry if this ends up as a double post
-- that was not my intent.)

My Linux Friends,

I'm trying to setup Ubuntu without a local CDROM or floppy. I can stick
the CDROM in a Windows or Linux system in my home. All I have is a
network port and it's a laptop that's pre-installed with Windows XP
that I want to remove entirely. I also have a USB memory stick that can
be formatted and installed with something bootable if necessary.
Because this is an IBM laptop, I *imagine* that I probably can get a
network boot going if necessary.

Anyone know the technique?
