Re: glibc-2.3 code on glibc-2.2 system?

Good to hear that I am not the only person who is struggling with this. I am of course very interested in how things work out for you.

In the meantime, I also posted a variant on this issue in comp.os.linux.development.apps, where there was quite some action. From the discussion there it looks like the issue is quite nontrivial. I got my problem solved eventually via compiling the program from source (luckily it was available and compilation went fine). However, now I need to run another program for which there is no source at all, only binary distribution, and that needs glibc-2.3... so back again to square one.

Please keep the list posted, if anything comes up,
