Re: Sharing a Printer

Thanks Enrique for your reply.

1. No it does not print locally. There is no linux driver for my
printer but i thought i could setup the printer to print raw data (i.e.
the processing would be done on the client using the Win XP driver)

2. yes it runs - i can connect to http://192.168.1.77:631 using my
browser

3. yes i can see all my access attemps in the access_log - i.e.:
192.168.1.2 - - [28/Dec/2005:17:47:26 +0000] "POST /printers/mp150
HTTP/1.1" 20
0 172
192.168.1.2 - - [28/Dec/2005:17:47:30 +0000] "POST /printers/mp150
HTTP/1.1" 20
0 172
192.168.1.2 - - [28/Dec/2005:17:47:36 +0000] "GET /jobs HTTP/1.1" 200 0
localhost - - [28/Dec/2005:17:47:37 +0000] "POST / HTTP/1.1" 200 405

4. The log below seems more interesting... maybe i have not set my
printer for raw printing after all...

5. Cannot see anything wrong inthe event log

6. From the documentuation you are supposed to be able to use CUPs
without using SAMBA to share the printer
