scanner to printer

I am running Suse 10.0 on a Dell system. My scanner is HP ScanJet5300C. I have no problem with the scanner reading and storing the image. What I can't seem to do is send the image to the printer.

On the scanner itself is a button for transmitting directly to the printer, but of course, this doesn't work in Suse. Is there any way I can transmit directly from the scanner to the printer bypassing the save procedure?
