2.4.30 & 2.4.32 kernel comple error
I'm trying to compile a 2.4 kernel for my old 486 laptop on my P2.2ghz
debian 3.1 box. I've compiled a lot of kernels before, but not trying to
do it this way. Anyway, after the config and make dep, the make bzImage
dies very quickly with this error messg:
/usr/src/linux-2.4.30/include/asm/processor.h:75: error: array type has
incomplete element type
make: *** [init/main.o] Error 1
Any clues? Or is trying to compile for an older machine on a newer
one just not doable?
