Opening any of them doesn't show an actual volume control. Now, in XMMS
there's a volume control, however, for streaming real audio from firefox
(mplayer)
there's no corrosponding volume control. How do I turn down the volume?
I've read reference to a speaker icon on the toolbar, but there's no icon
which I see. In GNOME the volume control is, IIRC, under Sound & Video
from the main menu.
thanks,

Open kmix, and click the close box. You will have a speaker icon in your
system tray a la Windows. To exit kmix completely, right-click the icon.
