Modifying GRUB bootloader for use with windows only system.

Hello

I am looking to modify the GRUB source code to meet the needs of a boot
manager for a project i am working on. I would also like to install
this on a windows only system from a windows enviroment.

Does anyone know if this is possible or has been done?

Any links to starting points would be most welcome.
