Friends.
Which linux distribution supports support SATA hard disk?
My friend tried Suse10 . But failed. The system tells to install SATA
driver.
Any oher distro supports SATA?
Redhat FC-4 does. Works fine. Sort of surprised any current distro
would not support it.
It really, really, really depends on the SATA controller. I've had to deal
with the whackiness of fell-off-the-truck-in-Taiwan controllers: no model
numbers, badly physically mounted connectors, unreliable, etc., etc. They
*ALL* had to be replaced when the company decided they weren't suitable.
