Why RAID0?
Just curious on how much performance gain that I can get from a RAID-0 with
fast (10000RPM) drives :)
Depends on hardware controller, I/O bandwidth, I ran benchmarks on software
RAID0 -- no use for CPU intensive tasks I was doing...
I tought about image backup by adding a cheaper/slower PATA 150GB portable
USB drive, and run TrueImage to clone everything from the 2 fast drives once
a week (since this is just a personal computer, I'm OK to take the risk lose
something ...)
That's the main thing, have some strategy for coping with those unexpected
'magic happens' moments...
