asking the question or answering.
I know. I just get tired of these kinds of "answers" that take more
work than actually answering the question would have done. As for *my*
taking on this question, I'm nowhere nearly qualified to do so. I
recently gave up trying to get Knoppix to boot from the hard drive
after spending a frustrating weekend following the various
instructions but getting nowhere. It could be a hardware problem in
my computer, or something. I like Debian, and I still can use Knoppix
via the CD-ROM and a flash drive, so for now, that's good enough.
(Although I did see a 3Ghz computer at MicroCenter running Linspire
-- which, I'm happy to note, is based on Debian -- and the thing
sells for $199.)
Cool. Do you have, or know of, more useful notes for getting Knoppix on a
flash drive than the "copy /boot from a working install"?
.
