backup of data on solaris system

Hi friends,

I have a doubt on how to backup all my data from my Sun ultra 10
machine and copy it to any other system(solaris or non solaris
system).My requirement is to copy all my data(irrespective of no. of
slices on my HDD) and paste it somewhere else.I also wanted to know if
I can cross verify whether all my data is safe in the backup copy.How
do I do this?.
Pls help me out ASAP as I have to do it at any cost.
