I recently (april 2006) dnloaded theyeah,i think it is wonderful.
latest version of dsl ("damn small linux").
And it works well, right out of the 'box',
except for a coupla things:
1) sometimes, when I'm running xMMs
(dsl's version of winamp)
dsl will stop responding to keyboard and mouse.
And the music keeps on playing, and the
display keeps on updating. AFter a minute
or two of nonresponsivity, it dumps me to a
bash prompt, where I can then restart X
without rebooting.
I still use dsl, but I've stopped
using xMMs because of this.
Any ideas on this?
2) The 1024x768 video mode looks a bit, um...
I guess the word would be "interleavey" ???
Anyway it isnt near as clear as win98's 1024x768,
and the colordepth is 24 in both cases.
(800x600 looks great, btw)
Is this because in win98 i've loaded a driver
for my vidcard, whereas its just plain vesa in Linux?
