Try using dpkg instead. "dpkg -l | grep j2se" will show what their
names are (assuming "j2se" is correct).

Then "dpkg -r $PKG" (where $PKG is the name of the package to be
removed).

Afterward, "apt-get update && apt-get upgrade", and be careful about
whether you say "Yes" or not.

Thanks for your help. :) Unfortunately, I didn't see this until this
morning, and I broke down and re-installed last night.

I've got another question, but I'll start another thread for that one.
