just delete files or format partition or delete partition and
resize.
Umm. You can get in trouble this way. Christopher, do you have a
Windows system on the FAT partition that you want to keep? Or do you
just want to flush the Linux materials? Or what? How do you
currently boot this machine? (We don't want to screw up your ability
to boot it, unless you're going to scrub it anyway.)
If he installed /in/ a fat partition then the file delete would work.
Now if he created a linux partition then he can delete the partition.
The worry about booting depends if it was a MBR install.
If a linux boot loader installed into the MBR, then it will matter if
lilo or grub is used. If lilo,
you can replace the original boot loader, if it still exits.
If grub, he has to use doze tools to install a windows boot loader.
And those fun and games are exactly why I asked what he was doing, before
telling him to "delete files". You can really mess up your boot loader and
cause pain if you lack installation media for other OS's on the disk.
