Hi group,

I was trying to install macromedia flash player 7 on linux and during
installation it asks me where Mozilla has been installed. and after I
ran find I found out it is located at /usr/lib/mozilla path so it is
completed but when I go back to the browser and surf a flash page it
complained that flash is not installed so this time I followed the easy
way which by click on an icon it got installed but the worse part is
even after than there is yellow bar on top of my browswer that says
"Additional plugins are required to display all the media on this
page"!!!!!!

so I clicked on "Install Missing Plugins..." which was on the browser
and still it can not show even one asset of it. WHY?

On what version of Linux?

The plugins were probably put into /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins, but you need
to copy them to /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox*/plugins.

Thanks,

Thanks for your help but it didn't work I tried all directories under
mozilla/ but nothing makes it happy!
under /usr/lib/mozilla/ I have three directories such as mono/
mozilla/ and mozilla-1.7.12 and I tried the last two ones and
nothing!!!!!!!
I already had problem with madwifi which is really mad thing and made
me mad and never gonna work and now with this flash thing.

I cannot understand why every version of linux goes its own way so when
are they going to be the same? they say for suse do this for redhat do
that and if you are using gentoo then you have get some other books or
read a special FAQ to make it work (if it work...) this is just time
consuming to search till find out what is good for this box or that
box!!

Thanks anyway
