My Pc doesn't shut down

Hi guys,

my PC doesn't shut down, it always hangs after "will halt now". On my
MoBo (ASUS A7V8X) ACPI had never worked, and so normally I used apm
with debian and old versions of Ubuntu. After the upgrade to Ubuntu
Drapper Drake, apm doesn't work any more.

What can I do?
I tried to use some solution found in ubuntu forums with no result.

Bye bye

.
