For my self and just about everyone else I know, they would rather have
wallpapers of things other than OS logos. I myself use my own photography
and would not even think of looking for a "tux" wallpaper.

I was only suggesting it coincided with the increase in linux usage reports plateauing. Nothing more. Many have been skeptical of it hoping for closet adoptions of it.
