Freinds,
I want to setup a server with RedHat EL 4 WS. I want to install 2 OS on
one hard drive. Both OS would be RHEL 4 ws.
Why ? It is a server. SErvers are depended on by other machines. They are
not taken up and down to run two OS. And why would you have two copies of
the same OS on one hard drive? Even for backup that is a bad strategy. The
probability is that if one goes down it is a hardware problem with the
disk. The same disk the other OS is on. Ie, it makes no sense.
Other than that there is no problem.
I was trying to create primary and extended partitions. So I can
install on OS in primary partition and other OS in extended partition.
Sure, go ahead.
can some one help me with this setup?
Just do it, if you still think it is sensible to do it.
