Panic With FC6 on new MSI Mobo

I have a new MSI RX480 mobo and I'm having trouble getting FC to
install. I've tried an FC4 i386 install as well as FC6 Test 3. Both
crash at approximately the exact same spot, pretty much right after the
drive detection.

Originally I was using just sata, but I added an old IDE as primary
master in case that was the problem. I've also disabled ACPI and the
APIC, but that does not help.

How do you troubleshoot kernel panics early in the installation?
