I have a number of users tunnel through one of my machines with SSH.
They don't need speed, but do need reliability. Occasionally this uses
large amounts of bandwidth and chokes other things. Does anyone have
any suggests as a way to limit ssh bandwidth to/from this machine
without affecting other traffic?
I think that "QoS" or "Traffic Shaping" are supposed to handle things like these, but have not set them up myself. I have no idea what a qdisc is, I just know it exists. :)
If you Google those terms with "linux" added, you should find something you can start with.
